The Role of the Elderly
In Euthopia, the elderly are not isolated in separate facilities but live within the community alongside everyone else, actively participating in daily life. This choice reflects the intention to create an inclusive environment where each person’s contribution is valued, regardless of age.
Elders share their wisdom and skills with younger generations through workshops on craftsmanship, sustainable agriculture, and the preservation of traditional techniques—passing down knowledge that might otherwise be lost.
There are no barriers between generations: young people learn from the elderly in a natural and continuous exchange that enriches both. Seniors also take part in recreational and holistic activities, such as yoga and meditation, and offer their life experience to strengthen the social fabric of the community.
This intergenerational community model, free from separation or hierarchy, celebrates the interconnectedness of all ages and fosters a harmonious environment where respect and collaboration form the foundation for a more conscious and sustainable future.
