Sociocracy
At Euthopia, we embrace an inclusive approach and support gender equality, promoting a culture where responsibilities and daily tasks are shared by all members of the community. In this context, we encourage the removal of gender divisions and the promotion of mutual understanding through the direct experience of each other's roles.
Every individual in Euthopia is encouraged to actively participate in the daily activities necessary for the well-being and functioning of the community. This includes tasks such as preparing food, washing, cleaning, and other household duties. There is no rigid distinction between “male” and “female” tasks; rather, we are committed to encouraging collaboration and mutual learning through direct experience.
This practice allows each person to experience what it means to take on the perspective of the opposite gender, developing empathy and understanding for different roles and responsibilities. It fosters greater awareness of the challenges and needs related to gender, helping to break down stereotypes and discrimination present in society.
Through shared experiences and the elimination of gender roles in task distribution, we aim to build a more inclusive community—one based on mutual understanding, equal opportunities, and the appreciation of individual skills.
In Euthopia, the goal is to create an environment where every person can grow, express their abilities, and feel valued for their contribution.
Daily meals and activities in Euthopia will focus on sharing and building a sense of community. This includes preparing and eating meals together, as well as participating in shared activities such as gardening, cleaning, and other responsibilities that involve all residents.
Evenings, on the other hand, will be dedicated to family and personal time. Everyone will have the freedom to spend time with their loved ones, focus on family relationships, or pursue personal passions. Of course, those who wish to continue spending time with the community in the evening may do so. The important thing is that everyone has the freedom to choose how to spend their time—respecting their family and personal needs.
The main goal remains to foster an inclusive and harmonious environment that promotes sharing and collaboration while also respecting each individual’s personal and family space. Flexibility is a key element to ensure that every resident can find a satisfying balance between community life and private life.
In Euthopia, residents will have the option to choose between living in a private home or sharing common spaces, depending on their personal preferences and needs. Both private residences—offering more privacy and autonomy—and communal spaces will be available, allowing individuals to decide how they want to live.
Private homes will provide individuals and families with a dedicated space for personal activities and rest. These homes can be personalized and will offer a comfortable environment for those seeking greater independence.
On the other hand, shared spaces will be designed to encourage connection, socialization, and collaboration among Euthopia’s residents. These areas might include communal kitchens and dining areas, lounges, gardens, libraries, or other spaces for gathering and working together. Sharing common areas will allow residents to interact, share skills, participate in collective projects, and foster a strong sense of belonging and community.
The choice between private living and shared spaces will be entirely optional, and every individual will have the freedom to choose what best suits their needs and lifestyle. The goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and can find the right balance between privacy and connection.
